Dr. Russ Kennedy holds degrees in brain science and medicine and is a certified yoga instructor. After experiencing physician burnout in 2003 he left his practice to become a professional comic with Yuk Yuks. He promptly ran out of money. Upon returning to medicine, and continuing to perform on the comedy circuit, Russ found his stress levels rising once again and he turned to yoga and meditation. He now tours North America entertaining and teaching the science behind the practice. Russ lives in Vancouver with Buddha (his dog).

Susan Van Zaig has been practicing yoga for 20 years. She is a certified member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, teaches Hatha, Yin and Meditation and is the in-house yoga therapist for both Semperviva Yoga Studios and Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic. In both her yoga therapy practice and group teaching, Susan focuses on structural alignment as a means to strengthen the mind body connection, inspiring the inherent ability of the body to heal itself.
